Junior Ajayi: Nigerian striker wins man of the match award in Egypt

Junior Ajayi put in an another amazing performance for Al-Ahly in Egypt

Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi was voted man of the match for his performance for Al-Ahly in a league match against Itthad.

Al Ahly defeated league rivals Itthad 3 - 0 through goals scored by Walid Azaro, Abdallah El Saeid and Junior Ajayi, to maintain top stop in the Egyptian Premier League.

 

However, even though Ajayi was once of the goal scorers, his all round performance in the game earned him the man of the match award.

 

Ajayi was part of Nigeria's U-23 men's bronze medal winning team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.

He was instrumental to Al-Ahly's progression to the 2017 CAF Champions League final, and was also voted among Africa's best 11 eleven players, at the Aiteo CAF Awards.

Ajayi transferred to Egyptian outfit Al-Ahly from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in 2016, where he made 28 appearances and contributed 10 goals
