Celebrities drag former minister of petroleum resources Diezani Alison-Madueke over 'yahoo yahoo boys' comments

These celebrities wonder how the former minister had the effrontery to accuse internet fraudsters over a similar crime she is wanted for back in Nigeria.

The former minister of petroleum resources in Nigeria, Diezani Alison-Madueke left many Nigerians in shock when a video of her slamming internet fraudsters also known as 'Yahoo Yahoo' in the country went viral.

The former minister who is wanted for corruption back home, said internet fraudsters are the scum of the Nigerian society.

Well, that didn't go down well with Nigerians as they dragged her on social media over the comments.

It didn't take long before some celebrities who were irritated by her comments joined other Nigerians to slam the minister who is wanted in the country for looting its treasury.

For media personality Bolanle Olukanni, it was was shocking that someone who stole billions of naira from the country treasury still had the effrontery to call out internet fraudsters.

"Our country is beyond repair at this rate. Diezani who has stolen billions and has the bloody balls to give a speech on how Yahoo boys are destroying Nigeria. And she knows she can do this and nothing will happen to her because our government is weak! And joke." she tweeted.

"How do you tell people, how do you tell us young people to work hard and do what is right when bullshit like this is happening!! Like how ??!! The hypocrisy in this country."

Another celebrity who wasn't having any of Alison-Madueke's hypocrisy was rapper, Falz.

On-Air personality, Tolu 'Toolz' Oniru in her tweet said, the former minister must have lost her mind for making such comments.

"See normally I would laugh but this is so ridiculous. This lady must have lost her damn mind to come online and spew this nonsense. How are you different from a fraudster ma? She actually has no shame, which is sadly common for a lot of our (present and past) politicians," she tweeted.

Alison-Madueke, 59, fled Nigeria for the U.K as soon as former president Goodluck Jonathan lost the 2015 election to Muhammadu Buhari.

Several attempts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to trigger an extradition treaty with the UK and have Diezani return home for trial have met a brick-wall.

14 charges bordering on theft and concealment to the tune of $153 million, have been filed against her by the EFCC.

Raids on some of her homes in Nigeria have revealed gold jewelry and wristwatches worth millions of dollars.
