Nigerian fullback Tyronne Ebuehi has been linked with a return to the Netherlands with FC Twente from Portuguese side Benfica.
Ebuehi is looking for a new challenge to reignite his career which suffered a blip due to a cruciate ligament injury he sustained just before the 2018/2019 season.
Although he has since recovered from the injury, the 24-year-old fullback has not been able to get the look at Benfica where he is yet to feature for the senior team
After his recovery, he was with the Benfica B team and managed just six appearances this season.
A move away from Benfica would do the Nigeria international a lot of good and FC Twente are close to reaching an agreement with the Portuguese club for him according to Dutch online news hub, RTV Oost.
A move to Twente will mean a return to the Eredivisie for Ebuehi who was born in the Netherlands and started his football career there.
It was at ADO Den Haag where he impressed before he got the move to Benfica.
Ebuehi has eight Super Eagles caps and was part of the squad that played at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
