Super Eagles: Rohr recalls Onyekuru, Ebuehi, names 22 others for Algeria, Argentina

Onyekuru has scored six goals in nine league games for Anderlecht.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has recalled Henry Onyekuru for the November games against Algeria and Argentina.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Friday, November 10 make the trip to Algiers for the dead-rubber 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria will then take on Argentina in a friendly game at the Krasnodar Stadium in Russia on Tuesday, November 14.

For the games, Rohr recalled Onyekuru who was left out of the Super Eagles doubleheader against Cameroon and the game against Zambia.

Onyekuru returns to the squad following his fine form for Anderlecht where he has scored six goals in nine league games.

 

Rohr called up regulars like Mikel Obi, Leon Balogun, Odion Ighalo and there is also a recall for Tyronne Ebuehi who has been invited a couple of times but never got his Super Eagles debut.

Rohr handed a debut call-up for Deportivo La Coruna goalkeeper Francis Uzoho who recently became the youngest non-Spanish goalkeeper to make his La Liga debut.

 

Missing from the squad is Victor Moses who is out with a hamstring injury. and Kenneth Omeruo who is on stand-by.
