2018 FIFA World Cup: Original trophy to arrive Nigeria in March 2018
FIFA have confirmed that the original FIFA World Cup trophy will arrive Nigeria on Saturday, March 3.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have confirmed that the original FIFA World Cup trophy will arrive Nigeria in March 2018.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have already sealed qualification to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
With Nigeria already qualified, it has been confirmed as one of the destinations of the original FIFA World Cup trophy during its tour ahead of the tournament in June/July 2018.

According to the NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, FIFA have confirmed that the original FIFA World Cup trophy will arrive Nigeria on Saturday, March 3.
“We have confirmation now. The World Cup trophy will be in Nigeria on 3rd March 2018,” Sanusi said in a statement on the NFF’s website.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour which presents the opportunity for fans from all over the world to see the trophy will hold from September to June 2018 just before the tournament starts in Russia.
Nigeria became the first African country to qualify for the FIFA World Cup courtesy of their 1-0 win over Zambia in a World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo in October.
The Super Eagles will know their World Cup opponents when the draw holds on Friday, December 1.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played across 11 cities in Russia from June 14 to July 15, when the final will be played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
