The Zambian govt said the resentment amongst members of the church in the country may escalate into the breakdown of law and order if the cleric does not leave.

One of the pastors overseeing Apostle Johnson Suleman's Omega Fire Ministries (OMF) branch in Zambia has been ordered to leave the country.

The Zambian government has given Augustine Oso Ebosele in charge of OMF in Lusaka, the country's capital, a 48-hour ultimatum to exit the country.

According to the government, it refused to renew Ebosele's employment permit because his conduct has divided the church into two parties.

The Chief Government Spokesperson, Kampamba Mulenga disclosed this on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Mulenga said the resentment amongst members of Omega Fire Ministries in the country may escalate into the breakdown and law and order if the cleric does not leave.

Pastor Obesele's 48 hours quit notice is said to be in accordance with the Immigration and Deportation Act number 18 of 2010.

The spokesperson, however, stressed that the Zambian government did not shut down Omega Fire Ministries and is not against Nigerian Pastors.

"Omega Fire Ministries Headquartered in Nigeria is free to send a senior pastor to come and help reconcile the membership in Lusaka", Mulenga said.

She urged members of the to avoid speculation and remain calm as the matter being handled.
