Uriel Oputa was born in the United Kingdom to a lawyer father (now late) and mother. Uriel is the only daughter in the family of five children. She spent most of her formative years in the UK.
Uriel graduated from the Bedfordshire University in the United Kingdom where she obtained a degree in creative writing. After a successful education, she moved on to a media company in London, Sugar Media where she had a brief stint before chasing her dream path, music.

She moved to Nigeria where she worked with Dekumzy who produced her first solo track titled 'Merry Go Round'. Uriel was the only girl in a 3-man musical group, Caku Republik on SKP label that consisted Sunky (producer of Styl-Plus), Mr. Chicks and herself.
It may surprise you to know that Uriel is relative to the popular musician and activist, Charlie Boy, they are first cousins as her late father was a blood brother to the Justice Charles Oputa of the famous Oputa Panel.
Uriel is a huge fan of hair wigs and she sells them too. She aspires to venture into the Nollywood industry as an actress. She was a contestant on BET ‘Top Actor Africa Show’ which aired in 2016 but was the first Nigerian contestant to be evicted.
In 2017, she was a contestant in Big Brother Naija. Even though she was a popular housemate, Uriel didn't make it to the final.
