Riyad Mahrez: Leicester want Hazard to replace Algerian

Riyad Mahrez is set to leave Leicester City at the end of the season, and is set to be replaced.

Leicester City want Belgian midfielder Thorgan Hazard to replace want away forward Riyad Mahrez.

Mahrez had multiple bids from Manchester City turned down on deadline day of the Winter transfer window.

The forward has handed a transfer request stating his intention to leave the club in the summer.

Leicester city are however looking as Thorgan Hazard younger brother of former PFA player of the year Edin Hazard as a suitable replacement for the Algerian winger.

Mahrez has attracted interest from Italian side AS Roma and has been a long term transfer target for the Gunners.

The 2016 Premier League Champions have now accepted the possibility of Mahrez ultimately forcing a move away from the King Power Stadium.

Who is Thorgan Hazard?

Thorgan plays for German outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach.

He started his career with Lens in France before his switch to Chelsea, He was loaned out to Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem for two seasons.

Chelsea later loaned him to Moenchengladbach before the German side made his deal permanent.

Thorgan  also plays for the Belgian senior national team and is expected to compete at  the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
