Stephen Eze has condemned the performance of the home based Super Eagles in the CHAN final
Stephen Eze has admitted that the performance of Super Eagles in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) final was disappointing.
Eze who was among Nigeria's best performers at the continental tournament, said after the game that there was no excuse for their performance against Morocco.
In an interview with journalists after the game Eze admitted that the Super Eagles did not expect such a strong performance Moroccans He said "We didn’t expect that kind of display from them.”
Eze who was voted man of the match after the group game against Libya admitted that the Super Eagles were more disappointing, after his assessment of the Moroccans.
“Our performance was disappointing, nothing more.” Eze said.
The Super Eagles lost to Morocco in the final of the CHAN via goals from tournament record scorer Ayoub Kaabi, Walid El Karti and a brace by Zakaria Hadraf.
The 23-year-old is expected to move to Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv now that the tournament has ended.
Eze who has been part of the home based Eagles set up from the qualification series of the CHAN, to the WAFU Cup and at the CHAN tournament.
