Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu was in the starting line up for IK Start of Norway

Super Eagles team B midfielder Afeez Aremu scored in his first competitive match since he completed a move to Norweigian outfit IK Start.

Aremu who joined Start in the winter transfer window started their League opener against Tromsoe.

The 18-year-old was impressive and in the 90th minute capped his performance with the last goal of the game as Start won 4 - 1.

Aremu who was impressive for the CHAN Eagles at the WAFU tournament and was part of the home based Eagles for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, did not participate at CHAN tournament.

To celebrate his goal Aremu posted a message on his official Instagram account which said, "As today is Mother’s Day ..I dedicate this my first goal against Tromsø today to my mother"

He joins compatriots Umar Sadiq and Ademola Lookman who both scored in their first competitive

The former Akwa United midfielder played all ninety minutes while compatriot Abubakar Ibrahim and newly recruited Michael Ogungbaro did not feature for the newly promoted team.

Aremu played for Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) sides, Rivers United, Sunshine Stars and was also on loan at Akwa United.
