Jamie Carragher: Liverpool Legend in trouble for spitting at a fan and his 14-year-old daughter

Jamie Carragher has called the 14-year-old girl to apologise for his actions.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is in trouble as he spit on a fan and his 14-year-old daughter after the Premier League match between Manchester United and Liverpool.

Carragher was involved in word exchange with the fan after his former team Liverpool were defeated 2 – 1 by United at Old Trafford on Saturday, March 10.

According to a report by Daily Mirror, The former England international was covering the game as a Sky Sports as part of his Punditry duties.

Carragher was caught on camera as he pulled over to spot on the fan and his daughter.

The report states that the dad was involved “a bit of banter” with Carragher before he spit on them knowing fully well his daughter was also in the car.

Carragher has called to apologize to the fan and his daughter, the report states that he called to say, “I just want to apologise and I hope you are OK.”

The 40-year-old could now face disciplinary actions as a Spokesperson for SkySports said “It’s unacceptable behavior and we will be addressing it with Jamie.”

 

Carragher played for Liverpool for 17 seasons where he made over 700 appearances and scored a total of five goals.

He made 38 appearances for England and featured at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups.
