Lionel Messi: Barcelona star welcomed to training after birth of third child

Lionel Messi was in training as Barcelona prepared for their upcoming game against Chelsea.

Lionel Messi was welcomed by his Barcelona teammates with a round of applause after the birth of his third son Ciro.

The Argentine captain missed Barcelona's La Liga encounter with Malaga on Saturday, March 10 due to the birth of his third child Ciro, but reported to training on Monday, March 12.

Barcelona posted a short video on their official Instagram account which showed his teammates celebrate the birth of his new son.

 

The Five time World Player of the year and his teammates were in training preparing for their round of 16 UEFA Champions League game against Chelsea on Wednesday, March 14.

Lionel Messi and Antonella welcome third son Ciro

Lionel Messi posted on his Instagram to confirm the birth of his third son on Saturday, March 10.

His wife Antonella Rocuzzo also posted a picture on her instagram account to welcome her new son.

 

The Argentine captain welcomed his first son Thiago Messi who was born on November 2, 2012 while his second son  Matteo Messi was given birth to on September 11, 2015.
