Runtown: Eric Many claims singer sponsored release of sex tape

Runtown might be heading for more trouble with his record label due to an alleged sex tape.

It seems Runtown might be in more trouble with his record label, Eric Many over the sex tape that got leaked.

According to a statement released by Eric Many on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, Runtown allegedly spearheaded the release of the sex tape while claiming that it was the record label who wanted to use the tape to blackmail him.

"Preliminary findings have revealed that the released sex tape and Whatsapp chat purportedly leaked by Runtown's label is totally fake and a badly executed stunt by the artist himself. Investigations have led to the capture of a suspect (name withheld) who confessed to using a fake Instagram account to spread the false sex tape leak on Runtown's request" read the statement.

 

''We have maintained from the beginning of this saga that Eric Many has a verifiable court injunction against Runtown and we'll not resort to blackmail or cheap social media stunts as we believe in the rule of law. Investigations are on-going as regards the leaked sex tape story and we'll let the law take its full course'' the statement said.

 

In the statement, Eric Many Chairman Prince Okwudili Umenyiora was quoted saying "after every war comes peace."

The General Manager of the record label Johnson Adumike also said ''Eric Many has been vindicated but we refuse to be drawn into a media war with Runtown who the label made and will therefore not destroy."

''Moreover, trying to use a sex tape to blackmail Runtown is just like using a bottle of whiskey to blackmail a drunk'' a former Eric many staff who is very close to Runtown said.

On Thursday, March 29, 2018, an Instagram account owned by an individual named Eze Kevin shared a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp chat between him and Eric Many Entertainment boss. The chat makes mention of a sex tape featuring Runtown.

 

The Eze Kevin went on to release a clip of the sex tape on his Instagram account, although Runtown's face couldn't be identified in it. Eric Many issued a disclaimer over the purported video describing it as ''fake'' and ''childish'.'

Runtown is yet to respond to our messages seeking comment.
