2019: Benin elders task INEC on credible polls
The Committee of Benin Elders headed by a former Minister of Science and Technology, Prof Emmanuel Emovon, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure next week Saturday’s general elections are free, fair and credible.
It said the tension generated from acrimonious campaign speeches and activities by various political parties could lead to breakdown of law and order if left unchecked.

The resolutions urged all residents in Edo State to conduct themselves peacefully and vote for candidates of their choice.
It appealed to youths in the state not to allow themselves to be used to perpetrate violence or cause any mayhem during elections.
