‘PDP’s Wada no match for Bello’

The Special Adviser toKogi State Governor Yahaya Bello on Job Creation, Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, has predicted that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Musa Wada, will suffer a ‘bloodied nose’ in the governorship election.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said that Wada is no match for Bello, adding that he will suffer defeat at the poll.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the Bello-Onoja Campaign Council in Lokoja Local Government, Aguye said while the governor has continued to use his position to better the lives of the people, Wada has not impacted on lives outside his immediate circle.

Aguye said: “In this race, there is only one gladiator and that gladiator is the current governor. So, there is no contender. Wada may be right for saying that this is the toughest election in the history of Kogi. Yes, it is the toughest for him, but certainly not for the governor.

“As far as I’m concerned, this will be the easiest election in the history of Kogi for Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC. He (Wada) will not even win Dekina (his local government), much less Ankpa or Idah, and then come to Bassa.

“We will ensure we do whatever we can. This will be the first and last of Wada’s outing and he will suffer a bloodied nose by the grace of God.”

The Special Adviser said Bello has done more than previous administrations within three years. He said: “He has been able to block all loopholes through which workers’ salaries were being siphoned by few people.

“All incomes generated by revenue officers were not saved for the rainy day by the previous PDP government. But, under Bello, the state revenue base has increased drastically.”
