A delighted Awaziem took to social media to annouce the birth of his daughter.

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is a father for the first time following the birth of his daughter by partner Obiageli.

Awaziem announced the birth of his daughter on social media with a photo of him holding the new bundle of joy.

“I can't explain the way I feel right now...thank you God for giving me Christel, Latest dad in town,” he wrote.

From his location on Instagram, it seems the footballers and his girlfriend welcomed the baby in Portugal.

Awaziem and his girl Obiageli have been dating for a while having known each other for a long time.

The birth of his daughter is a positive for the 23-year-old defender who could not help Leganes from suffering relegation from La Liga.

The Nigeria international spent the 2019/2020 season on loan from Porto at the Spanish club.
