Alex Iwobi models new Everton away jersey

Iwobi will be hoping to make more impact in Everton's new strips.

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has helped his club, Everton, to unveil their away kit for the 2019/2020 season.

For the 2020/2020 season which kicks off in September, Everton will be using a yellow kit for away games with new manufacturer hummel.

Iwobi shared a photo of himself in the new strip on Instagram.

The new shirt features a classic amber and blue design, inspired by the second strips worn by the Toffees in the late 1960s and early 1970s during a successful period for the club.

The kit will mark the 50th anniversary of the club's seventh league title, which Everton won with two games to spare, and first association with hummel.

All of Everton's kits form part of hummel's 'More Than 11 campaign', which recognises the important role fans both locally and around the world play in supporting their team.

Iwobi will be hoping to have a massive impact in that shirt for Everton after an underwhelming debut season.

The 24-year-old Nigerian joined Everton from Arsenal on the last day of the summer transfer window and started well with two goals in his first four games.

Iwobi, however, failed to find consistency for Everton who struggled before injury interrupted his season.

He managed three goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for Everton.
