Mikel has been without a club since March 2020.
Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has revealed that he is not in a hurry to find a new club.
Mikel who last played for Trabzonspor in Turkey has been without a club since he left the Turkish club in March 2020.
Ahead of the 2020/2021 season, the midfielder has confirmed that there is a strong possibility that he will return to England although he is not in a hurry.
“Yes, there are interested clubs and England is a strong possibility and why not," Mikel told BBC Sport Africa.
"We are currently in talks with clubs and there is absolutely no hurry. I can only wait to see what happens."
The 33-year-old has been linked with newly-promoted Premier League side West Brom.
The two-time Premier League winner left Trabzonspor in controversial circumstances after he said he did not feel comfortable playing amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
