LG polls: PDP sure of victory in Okpe – Delta Speaker

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has said that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the ongoing council elections in Okpe Local Government Area of the state.

The Speaker stated this shortly after casting his vote at about 10:38 am in Unit 009, Ward 6, Osubi.

According to him, “the election is peaceful. You know the candidate is from Osubi and he is accepted by the people.

“We have not finished the election but I know that we have a good candidate and victory is sure for PDP in Okpe.”

Scores of voters were seen at the voting unit preparing to cast their vote.

The candidate of the PDP who coincidentally is from the same unit, Isaiah Esiovwa, expressed optimism that he will emerge winner of the election in Okpe LGA.
