United Target Godin; Pep Fancies French Star

Jose Mourinho wants Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin to lead his Manchester United revolution and Arsenal and Liverpool are tracking a Marseille midfield starlet.

Godin A Target For Mou
Manchester United will bid £30million for Diego Godin in January, according to a report on Saturday

The Uruguay centre-back is the man that Jose Mourinho wants to become the leader at the back as he bids to shape a defence which will be able to be the launch pad for a tilt at the Premier League title.

Mourinho has identified that he needs a leader at the heart of his back four and he will ship out at least eight of his squad in the next two windows to make way for the Atletico Madrid defender and several other new recruits.

The Sun report that Mourinho will be given the green light to bid for the 30-year-old in January and they will hand him a huge rise on his £70,000 a week wages.

The highly-rated defender, who has over 100 caps for Uruguay, has a £28million release clause in his contract and Mourinho is keen to trigger that with Eric Bailly injured.

Godin, who signed for Atletico from Villarreal in 2010,will  be difficult to lure away from the Vincente Calderon though after building up a tight bond with Diego Simeone in the five years the pair have been together

Tussle Instensifies For Lopez
Young Marseille midfielder Maxime Lopez is attracting interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, according to a report in France.

Dubbed ‘the new Samir Nasri’ by the French media, Arsenal have been alerted by the 18-year-old’s form after he broke into the first-team this season.

And Liverpool, who have known about the attacking midfielder since he was 16, are now set to step up their interest.

According to Le Parisien, the two clubs have had scouts at the Stade Vélodrome watching Lopez in action

The Frenchman is also reportedly being monitored by Crystal Palace and several sides in Spain are keeping tabs on him, and with his contract set to expire next summer there is likely to be plenty of competition for the player who has one assist in five Ligue 1 games this term.

City Enter Griezmann Chase
Antoine Griezmann could be the biggest signing in the world next summer, and the Mirrorreported that Manchester City and United will battle it out for the France star.

It could cost a reported £70 million to pry the 25-year-old from Atletico Madrid, though the striker's contract runs until 2021.

Los Colchoneros are resigned to losing their talisman, and Pep Guardiola is agitated to add the former Real Sociedad star to forge a mouthwatering partnership with Sergio Aguero.

Bastian To Toffees ?
They suffered one of the biggest drubbings in Premier League history on Saturday at the hands of a rampant Chelsea, but the Star believes Everton will make an ambitious move for Manchester United's Bastian Schweinsteiger.

It is thought that United will even consider paying half of his £200,000 per week wages between now and the summer to allow the Toffees to take a look at the Germany international on loan.

A permanent move could then be finalised, as Ronald Koeman desperately attempts to convince Evertonians, whose faith is dwindling after such a demoralising defeat this weekend.

Napoli will attempt to lure Newcastle's Aleksandar Mitrovic to Serie A in January, with the Mirror reporting that an £18 million bid will be tabled.
