Since its inception, Playboy magazine has put a lot of celebs on its covers.
These covers have been able to launch the careers of many celebrities.
In honor of the brains behind the world's most selling men magazine, Hugh Hefner, who passed on to the great beyond on Thursday, September 28, 2017, we take a look at five top celebrities who covered the magazine.
1. Kim Kardashian
Just after Kim Kardashian's sex tape was leaked, the reality star well couldn't care less anymore as she posed for the December 2007 edition of the magazine. This took place during the very first edition of E!'s " Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and it helped launch Kim's celebrity career.
2. Charlize Theron
In the case of Charlize Theron, she was on top of her game in the Hollywood scene in the 90s with movies like "Devil's Advocate", so in other to gain more momentum for her already flourishing career, she posed for the May 1999 edition of the magazine.
3. Farrah Fawcett
Farrah Fawcett declined all moves for her to appear nude in any movie all through the 80s and 90s. She apparently gave in and took the world by surprise when she posed for the December 1995 issue which went on to sell over 4 million copies worldwide. In July 1997, at the age of 50, she posed again for the magazine making another top sale.

4. Drew Barrymore:
Former child star, Drew Barrymore has never been known to shy away from nudity, and so when the opportunity beckoned in the January 1995 edition of Playboy magazine, she, of course, grabbed it, showing fans she was no longer a child star.
5. Pamela Anderson:
Pamela Anderson probably was one of the most coveted girls in Playboy magazine. She graced the cover of the magazine from the 1990s and the 2000s. She appeared as the centerfold in the magazine in 1990. Pamela rose to stardom in her roles in on the television sitcom "Home Improvement". Later went to star as C. J. Parker on "Baywatch"
