Eden Hazard: Chelsea want to give Belgium International a new contract

Chelsea will offer Belgium international Eden Hazard a new improved deal to keep him at the club for longer

English Premier League outfit Chelsea want to renew the contract of Belgium international Eden Hazard.

Hazard has a contract with the club till 2020, but Chelsea wants an extension to put off European Champions Real Madrid who have shown interest in him.

According to a report on Daily Mail, Chelsea are willing to offer the Belgian midfielder up to £300,000 a week, which would make him one of the highest earners in the world.

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is reportedly an admirer of the Belgian and the club are willing to spend for up to £200million for his signature.

Hazard was earlier reported to be happy at Chelsea despite links from Madrid, as his family are settled in London.

 

However, Chelsea’s League finish could play a part in deciding if Hazard chooses to renew or force a move out.

Antonio Conte’s men lost to Manchester United in their last league fixture, and now face runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City in their next fixture, before an elimination game against Barcelona in the Champions League.

The Blues also have an FA Cup clash against Leicester City, which could be their only realistic chance at a Trophy this season.

Hazard has again been influential for Chelsea this season, contributing a total of six goals.
