Toyé: Afrobeats singer releases first official single "Shayo"
With his new age Fuji sound, Toyé is creating his own lane in the Afrobeats world, having only started music back in December of 2016.
Toyé is an Atlanta born and Ibadan bred Afrobeats Artist.
Oluwatoyin Oladehinde A.K.A Toyé just released his first official single titled "Shayo", produced by Ace Harris and DJ Tag.
Although he was born in Atlanta, Toyé schooled in Nigeria at Olashore International School. He however currently resides in America, and is a University senior working to leave his mark on and off the Mic.
With his new age Fuji sound, he’s creating his own lane in the Afrobeats world. Toyé started music back in December of 2016 when he followed a friend to the studio and freestyled his first song called "America".
On why he loves music, Toyé said music to him is how he can express his creative outlets and being apart of something much bigger than himself. Seeing the joy on peoples faces once they hear his work is what has made it all worth while.
He said: “A lot of ideas float around in my head and I've gotta put it out somehow, so I guess music is the medium I chose for expression”.
When asked, he credits his influences for his unique sound to a mixture of Lagbaja, Micheal Jackson, D'banj, Flavour, and Obesere. From his diverse sound, to his rich ethnic connection, Toyé has begun to shake up Afrobeats world as we know it.
