Wendy Williams: T.V. personality takes a break from show after being diagnosed with disease

Wendy Williams is taking a three weeks break from her reality show to rest after she was diagnosed with the 'Grave' disease.

The popular and sometimes controversial television host of the show "The Wendy Willams Show" announced this during her show. She explained why she will be taking the break.

"My doctor has prescribed – are you ready? – three weeks of vacation,’ Williams told the audience. ‘What? Who are you? I was pissed. Encore performances, really? ‘My thyroid has been totally cattywampus

 

"That is the eye thing that you all have been seeing. My thyroid — my hyperthyroid — is attached also to Graves’ disease. No, I’m not nervous, Anxiety? Please. I’m over 30 years in this game," she said.

 

The Graves’ Disease more common in women than men is also known as Basedow’s disease. It’s the most common cause of hyperthyroidism in the United States. Those who suffer from Graves’ disease are also prone to a racing heartbeat, tremors, sleep disruption, weight loss, and muscle weakness.

It would be recalled that Wendy Williams stumbled and fell in her Statue of Liberty costume during the Halloween-themed episode in 2017. Crew members were seen rushing to help her before the show cut to commercials.

 

A very strong spirited Wendy returned to the show the following day and gave a detailed account of what really happened. Even though she was close to tears, Wendy Williams explained to her fans that the paramedics came to give her tests in a bid to make sure everything was OK. Wendy revealed that her tests came out fine and show she was lacking electrolytes and dehydrated.
