Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo and teammates get ready for Salah’s Egypt

Ronaldo recently won the Portugal player of the year award

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal teammates are preparing for their friendly match with Mohamed Salah’s Egypt.

The reigning World Player of the year was pictured wearing the newly unveiled Portuguese kits as he and his teammates were drilled at the national training base.

Ronaldo has enjoyed a return to form for Real Madrid in 2018 as he scored 21 goals in his last 11 matches, which has seen him re-enter the race for the Golden boot.

 

He and his teammates will be up against Egypt’s Salah who has also been in fine from for English Premier League outfit Liverpool.

The Egyptian surpasses Ronaldo on their total goals scored in this campaign and he has the opportunity to test himself against the best in the game against Portugal.

Ronaldo scooped the award for the Portuguese player of the year on Monday, March 19 and will be looking forward to impressing his home supporters.

 

Upon winning the award he said, “I am grateful for this award to all those who are here.”

“It is also an award for all my colleagues. 2017 was an excellent year, unforgettable both collectively and individually.”

Portugal will face Egypt on Friday, March 23 before another friendly against Netherlands on Monday, March 26.
