Shehu Dikko: NFF Vice President appointed into FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee
Shehu Dikko has been about by the governing body of World Football.
Second Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Mallam Shehu Dikko has been appointed into the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee.
Dikko who is also the Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), attended his first meeting on Wednesday, February 28 in the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino alongside, FIFA Vice President of the Victor Montagliani performed the induction ceremony for the newly appointed Dikko.
Montagliani who is the CONCACAF associations President, is also the Chairman of the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee, and will be working with Dikko.
Dikko who is the Chairman of Marketing, Sponsorship and TV Rights Committee and Strategic Studies Committee of the NFF was named in the November 2017 as part of the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Dikko with the special FIFA pin before the commencement of the meeting.
Dikko was recently at the NFF Awards to receive the Men's player of the year accolade for Victor Moses, his appointment comes after NFF Chairman Amaju Pinnick told FIFA President Gianni Infantino to consider Nigeria for hosting FIFA events and tournaments.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) earlier appointed Dikko as part of the CAF Committee for Club Competitions and Club Licensing System.
