Toke Makinwa is motivating fans as she talks about how people judged her when her marriage collapsed.

Toke Makinwa has been talking about how people judged her when her marriage collapsed.

The multi-talented media personality made this known on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, via her Instagram page where she was kind of giving out a motivational talk with her fans.

According to Toke, everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about, as she posted a photo which a number of quotes on it

 

"In my own words, invest in your glow up For anyone out there living in the fear of being judged or misunderstood, listen - “ Greatness is first despised before being celebrated”. Do you, do you over and over again and remember it’s really not that serious. I remember when my marriage broke up, I was judged by people who didn’t even have their shit together, years after I’ve seen some of those people go thru their own battles, some even worse than I did and it taught me to be kind, to have compassion to face my front cos nobody has it easy.

The collapse of Toke's marriage

 

We can all remember Toke Makinwa's marriage to Maje Ayinda crashed and how messy the whole scandal was. On Sunday, June 14, 2015, blogger, Stella Dimokokorkus reported that Ayida had impregnated his girlfriend, Anita Solomon, a relationship that had been going on for over eight years. This, however, came as a rude shock to everyone as fans waited for Toke's response which she eventually did by saying she was blessed to be able to do what does for a living. She ignored the cheating rumors though.

In November 2016, Toke Makinwa released her book "On Becoming" which gave a detailed and deep insight into her marriage and relationship with her ex-husband, Maje Ayida. The release of that book was greeted with a lot of controversies to the point where Maje Ayida on February 2017 filled a 100M naira lawsuit for defamation of character against Toke Makinwa.

March 2016, Toke Makinwa after all the messy infidelity scandal surrounding the escapades between her husband, Maje Ayida and his longtime girlfriend, Anita Solomon which even resulted in a pregnancy filed for a divorce, claiming she couldn't go on with the relationship.

The dissolution of the marriage

 

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, an Igbosere High Court in Lagos dissolved the union between Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida, citing Maje's adulterous lifestyle as the major reason for the dissolution of the marriage.
