Alex Iwobi: Nigerian midfielder scores as Arsenal rout Burnley 5-0

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi was on the scoresheet as Arsenal routed Burnley 5-0 in Arsene Wenger's last home game in charge of the Gunners.

The 22-year-old netted in the 64th minute with a left-footed drive inside the penalty area after controlling a pass from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

That was the third Premier League goal for Arsenal this season by the Nigeria international.

Impressive No. 10

Playing as the No. 10 in the absence of Mesut Ozil who missed the game with a back injury, Iwobi was impressive for the Gunners, slicing passes in pockets.

He started the move for Arsenal’s opener in the 14th minute, playing a one-two with Alexandre Lacazette whose low drive into the box was directed inside Burnley’s net by a sliding Aubameyang.

In first-half added time, he found an on-running Hector Bellerin with through pass from the middle before the right back cut back for Lacazette to double Arsenal’s lead.

Two goals from Aubameyang, one each from Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac completed Arsenal’s huge Sunday win over Burnley.
