Henry Onyekuru: Galatasaray forward makes Team of the Week in Turkey

Following his impressive performance against Alanyaspor, Henry Onyekuru is included in the team of the week.

Galatasaray forward Henry Onyekuru made the Turkey Super Lig 1 Team of the Week following his goalscoring heroics against Alanyaspor.

The Super Eagles star was again on the scoresheet for Galatasaray in their 6-0 win over Alanyspor.

The 21-year-old forward was included in the team of the weekend alongside attacking teammates Emre Akbaba who scored two goals and midfielder Fernando.

 

Onyekuru’s inclusion in the team of the week comes after he scored the winner in their last encounter against Goetzpe.

It is the second consecutive time he has been included in the team of the week by popular media outlet WhoScored.

 

Onyekuru who is on loan at Galatasaray from Everton scored the fifth goal for his side and received a rating of 8.1 for his performances.

With two goals from three games, Onyekuru is rediscovering the form which made him one of the best young players in Europe before his injury.

Onyekuru is included in Gernot Rohr’s 24-man team for the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Seychelles on Saturday, September 8.

He is expected to be in action for Galatasaray against Trabzonspor in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, September 1.
