‘Star Wars’ actor, Torin Pocock makes Nollywood debut in ‘Kpali’

‘Star Wars’ actor, Torin Pocock has made his debut in a Nollywood film, ‘Kpali’.

One of the English actors on ‘Star Wars’ actor, Torin Pocock, has made his debut in a Nollywood film, ‘Kpali’.

Pocock makes his debut acting alongside Nollywood stars, Ini Dima-Okojie, Nkem Owoh and Gloria Anozie Young.

The English actor features in the film as Jake Hunters, Amaka Kalayor’s friend.

Pulse gathered that the actor first arrived in Nigeria in June 2017 to shoot some scenes from the film, where he plays the lead male role.

Pocock has shown sheer excitement over the film, which is scheduled for a December 20 release in cinemas.

I done did a film in #Nigeria...I told you! So happy to see this movie coming to cinemas on December 20th. Massive shout out to the director and producer for making this happen. Also couldn’t have done it without my wonderful co-actors Ini Dima-Okojie and Linda Ejiofor-Sulaiman. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and being my guide around Lagos….” he wrote as captions on his Instagram posts.

Pocock is an English actor who portrayed an unidentified junkyard thug and a Resistance member in ‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.’ He also played a Blockade Runner Soldier in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.’

‘Kpali,’ which is scheduled for a December 20 release in cinemas also features Nkem Owoh, Gloria Anozie-Young, Linda Ejiofor Sulaiman, Uzor Arukwe, Torin Pocock, Seyilaw, Abounce, and Kunle Remi.

‘Kpali’ is directed by Ladipo Johnson and has Ema as the producer of the film.

Emem, who is the founder and CEO of One Management also disclosed that the film is scheduled for a December 2019 release.
