Coming from Insanity' to premiere on US television network 'Showtime'
The 2019 film will be the first ever Nollywood film to debut on the US TV network.
Akinyemi Sebastian Akinropo's 2019 film 'Coming from Insanity' has landed a new screening deal with US television network, Showtime.
According to an official announcement, the film will now be available to watch on Showtime.
"We are super excited to announce that @comingfrominsanity will be the first ever Nollywood film to be screened on the @showtime in the USA," the official Instagram announcement read.
Starring Gabriel Afolayan, Sharon Ooja, Damilola Adegbite, Dakore Egbuson, Ninolowo Bolanle, Odunlade Adekola, the Ibidolapo Ajayi produced film follows the story of Kossi, a 12-year-old Togolese trafficked to Nigeria and his rise to fame and fortune as a counterfeit kingpin.
Afolayan's performance in the lead role as Kossi received multiple acclaim from critics and film lovers.
Since the film's theatrical release in 2019, it has gone on to debut on top streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime.
