It’s a common saying that the younger generations are the future of Nigeria.
The millennials and Gen Z’s have founds numerous ways to shine in their industry despite the constant hurdles thrown their way. Here are ten actors under 30 years old, killing it in the Nigerian Film industry.

25-year-old Jemima Osunde has worked her way to being one of the most sought after actresses in the Nigerian Film industry. From gaining popularity as Leila in MTV’s Shuga, Jemima has featured in several Nollywood films and web series including Isoken, New Money, Lionheart, MTV Shuga, Rumor Has It, Quams Money and much more.
2.Adebukola Oladipupo
27-year-old Adebukola Oladipupo also gained popularity from MTV’s Shuga Naija for her role as ‘Fabulous’ Faa. In recent years she’s also become a fan favourite for her role as Tiara on RedTv’s The Men’s Club.
3.Funmbi Oguntoye
Funmbi Oguntoye is a 21-year-old actress who has worked her way into the industry as a newcomer by starring in several indie short films. Some of her work include Where is Jaz, Nightmare on Broadstreet and Husbandry.

27-year-old Erics is not just Big Brother Nigeria Season 5 superstar, but an actor in the Nigeiran Film industry. Avid Nollywood watchers would recognize the actor form her roles in Woman For Hire and Made In heaven.
5.Gbemi Akinlade
22-year-old Gbemi Akinlade paved her way into the hearts and screens of Nigerians through her role as Helena in Akay Mason & Abosi Ogba’s Day of Destiny. She has also featured in Abeg App’s recent AD campaign tailored to gen Z audience.
6.Desmond Bryce
Desmond Bryce is a young actor who although is a newcomer to the industry, has a stack of projects to his name. He’s also an EbonyLife Creative Academy winner for Best Male Actor in a Lead Role. Some projects he has worked on include Pray Request, Flatmates and multi-award winning film, The Right Words.
7.Tomike Adeoye
26-year-old award-winning influencer, Tomike Adeoye is popular for her authentic personality displayed in her youtube vlogs. Aside from her role as a content creator and event host, Tomike is also an actor. She’s featured in Ndani Tv’s Phases and Jenifa’s Diary.
8.Olumide Oworu
Also rising to fame from his time on MTV Shuga Naija, 27-year-old Olumide Oworu became a household name in Nigeria from his role as Tari in The Johnsons. In recent years he’s featured in Day Of Destiny, A Soldier’s Story, This is It and so much more.
9.Temisan Emmanuel
25 year old Temisan Emmanuel is known for his fun personality on social media. Asides from his funny short rants on instagram, which has now evolved to a podcast, he is also an actor in the film industry. Although a newbie in the industry, he’s worked on big projects such as Fate of Alakada, Dwindle and The Smart Money Woman.
10.Ruby Akubueze
24 year old Ruby Akubueze is another acot who benefitted from working on MTV Shuga Naija. In the TV series she played the role of a high school student named Frances. Since then she has worked through numerous projects and nominated in the acting category of the 2020 Future Awards Africa. Some of her projects include Kasanova and the multiaward winning short film, Rehearsals.
