Mic Magic set to thrill listeners with upcoming EP 'Magical'
Rising singer and songwriter Mic Magic is set to release a new EP he calls 'Magical'. The new EP is his way of introducing himself to listeners and showcasing his talents.
Born Micheal Umunnakwe, Mic Magic is a 22-year-old musician whose ability to make songs that draws from his emotions and personal experiences make him a distinct talent.
Like many artists, Mic Magic was attracted to music at a tender age and his first attempt at being an artist was by writing rap lines. The talented act would eventually switch to singing and find love in fusing different Afrobeat elements for a unique sound.
Speaking on his love for music and the reception of his parent to his dream he says his parents simply considered music to be a hobby he would outgrow.
"My family sees it as my hobby. They think I do it for fun. Although I let it be and I've been so focused since Making music makes me happy…I keep pushing forward and besides, I'd make them stay uptight too through this same craft of mine," he says.
Upcoming acts get to contend with unique challenges in the industry and while Mic Magic is not immune from these challenges, he's keeping a positive mindset.
"The struggle as an upcoming artist isn't that way since social media has made it a lot easier. I simply need to believe in myself, make good music, and wait for my time."
As he gears up for the release of his EP, he is set to offer a new single he calls 'Ebelebe' which will serve as a build-up to the EP in which he features a crop of talented artists. He describes his music as inspirational music that will enrich the soul.
"My music will inspire listeners and everyone who loves good music will enjoy it".
Mic Magic will be hoping to use his upcoming releases to announce himself to listeners and he believes his talent and the quality of his music will speak for themselves.
