Nigerian artist Hyzah showcases talent with new single 'Skinny Love'
Fast-rising Nigerian Afro-fusion maverick, Hyzah, is back at the forefront of heart-melding Afrobeats rhythms with a vibrant Afro-RnB record dubbed, 'Skinny Love'.
Many will recall 2021 when the young Hyzah gained viral fame after freestyling to a Drake song which attracted the attention of the Canadian rapper and even Nigerian megastar Burna Boy.
After gaining wide attention, the public microscope was placed on Hyzah who nursed a keen ambition to become a popular figure in the Nigerian music scene. No sooner did he get public attention did he spark a bidding war between top labels and Management in Nigeria all of whom wanted to oversee his career development.
However, things didn't go according to plan for Hyzah who reveals that he fell into the hands of poor management motivated by greed instead of positioning him for success. This would later douse the flames of his surreal rise and lead to a major failure to capitalize on the moment.
Hyzah has however learned from this and has parted ways with the management, he's stepping up to show listeners what's capable of.
The young talent has released a single he calls 'Skinny Love' with which he aims to cause a stir in the Afrobeats scene.
Produced by his longtime collaborator, Ogknsteaks, 'Skinny Love' is laced with gingerly acoustics and sultry percussion, the feel-good record expands the sonic palette of Hyzah’s blooming discography, which kicked off with a faster street pop tempo.
With 'Skinny Love', Hyzah takes slow and sensual loving, to the corridors of harmony, blessing the libraries of music lovers who have heavy appetites for fresh and evergreen finds.
Hyzah is set to drop an EP on which he will showcase his genre-fusing, impressive songwriting, and melody molding abilities that will remind listeners of the talent that brought him international attention.
