Kevin Spacey has been called out for coming out as gay after he was accused of sexually harassing a minor.

How well do you know Kevin Spacey, who is most popular for his character Frank Underwood in Netflix's political drama, "House of Cards?"

Pulse Movies has put together 10 things you should know about the actor, who has been accused of sexually harassing a 14-year-old actor.

1. Born Kevin Spacey Fowler on July 26, 1959, Spacey is an American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, and singer.

2. He kicked off his career on the stage in the 80s, but shot to fame with his role as Roger Verbal Kint in the 1995 film "The Usual Suspects."

3. He won his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for "The Usual Suspects," and the second in 1999 for Best Actor for "American Beauty."

4. Since 2013, he has played Frank Underwood - a devious congressman who becomes the President of the United States through political and criminal schemes - in the Netflix political drama series "House of Cards."

For his role as Underwood, he has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

 

5. In September 2017, Forbes listed Spacey as the 8th highest paid actor on TV with an earning of $12 million.

6. Spacey has starred in a total of 53 feature films such as L.A. Confidential (1997), Superman Returns (2006), and Baby Driver (2017).

7. In 2015, Vanity Fair and Esquire stated that he was secretly gay, however, Spacey denied the reports, describing them as “dishonest and malicious.”

 

8. At the 2017 Tony Awards, Spacey dropped hints about his sexuality. Dressed as Norma Desmond from "Sunset BLVD," he said, “I’m coming out,” before stopping and saying, “No, wait, no …”

9.  On Sunday, October 29, 2017, Anthony Rapp, who is famous for playing the first gay character in the "Star Trek" franchise, accused Spacey of making sexual advances towards him when he was just a 14-year-old.

 

10. Hours after the allegation surfaced, Spacey took to Twitter to apologize for his actions and officially came out as gay.

'I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life,' Kevin Spacey said in his statement. 'I choose now to live as a gay man.'

Nevertheless, he has been called out for taking cover with a gay revelation after he was accused of sexually harassing a minor.
