Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi is a doubt for the friendly games against Poland and Serbia because of a groin injury he sustained on Saturday, March 10.

Ebuehi was included in Gernot Rohr’s squad for the for the friendly games against Poland and Serbia on Friday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 27 respectively.

The 22-year-old was in action for Ado Den Haag in their 2-0 away loss to NAC Breda in the Eredivisie on Saturday.

He suffered a groin in the second half and was taken out in the 67th minute as he couldn't continue after treatment.

The defender is now expected to undergo tests at the club on Monday, March 12 to determine the amount of time he will spend on the sidelines.

A mild groin injury could still see Ebuehi ready for the Super Eagles friendlies, while a severe case will rule him out for up to six weeks.

Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents, Ebuehi was first called up to the Super Eagles in 2017 for the friendly game against Togo.

He has since made two appearances for Nigeria.
