NPFL: Enyimba hold Kwara United to draw away from home

Kwara United are still bottom of the NPFL despite a home draw to Enyimba.

Enyimba held Kwara United to a draw in a rescheduled Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)fixture.

The game between the two sides was rescheduled to the participation of the people's elephants in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Ikechukwu Ibenegbu scored the first goal of the game for the away side as he converted a penalty as early as the ninth minute to give Enyimba the lead.

 

The away side ended the first half with the lead, but Kwara grabbed the equaliser in the 51st minute through Stephen Alfred.

Both sides had to settle for a draw which sees Enyimba seventh on the log, while Kwara remained rooted to the bottom of the league.

 

Action continues in the NPFL on Thursday, April 12 with rescheduled games
