A popular homosexual in Congo Brazzaville who had been suffering from anal cancer for several years had died from the debilitating disease.

A popular and well-known homosexual in the Congo Brazzaville identified as Paul Arnaud has died a painful death after he succumbed to the battle with anal cancer.

According to media reports from the Central African country, Arnaud who came out as gay some years ago became sick with the cancer of the anus and had battled the disease unsuccessfully for a while before he finally lost his life.

Brazzaville Info 242 who tweeted the news, said Arnaud who was a famous gay man in that country, died of the disease on October 24, 2017, after he was infected by a white lover he was living with.

It was learned that Arnaud, the son of a local pastor, shocked his family and country people when he announced that he was gay. leading to his being ostracised from his family and his community, forcing him to flee to the capital city where he had a free reign.

But after some years, he was diagnosed with the anal cancer and had been battling for many years, having lost a lot of weight, till he finally lost the fight.

 

When the news broke over the weekend, many Nigerians were quick to post it and tagged popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky who they feel is gay and asked him to make an evaluation of his life before what befell Arnaud should befall him.

However, this is not the first time a gay man would die of anal cancer. In March of 2016, a South African gay singer and socialite, Koyo Bala, died of anal cancer after suffering from the ailment for several years.

The 37-year-old Bala, who was a member of the popular group, 3Sum, who was also HIV positive, had reportedly undergone surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation in the past years before he succumbed to the disease at Groote Schuur hospital in Cape Town.
