Celebrate modestly, Lagos Police Command advise Lagosians

The Lagos State Police Command on Monday advised residents in Lagos to celebrate modestly during the festive season.

Speaking on behalf of the command, the Lagos Police Spokesperson, SP Chike Oti, said that fun seekers were advised to stay out of trouble as they enjoyed themselves.

“Lagosians are advised to celebrate modestly, they should stay out of trouble as they enjoy themselves and they should not drink and drive.

“Fun seekers should be security conscious and be each other’s policeman. When you see some thing, say something.

“The police is assuring Lagosians of peace and tranquility as everything will be done to ensure protection of lives and property.

“We have our men everywhere and the command is also utilising the philosophy of CP Edgal Imohimi which is community policing to help get intelligence information that would help reduce crimes in the state.

“The command has increased security in the state and our patrol vans had been located at strategic points.

“These patrol vans also serve as mini police station where you can run to when in distress instead of going all the way to a station and you will be attended to,” Oti said.

The Spokesman advised Lagosians to be mindful of the information they gave out online while celebrating in the festive period.
