Heather Menzies-Urich, who is popular for her role in "Sound of Music," has passed away.

Heather Menzies-Urich, who played Louisa Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music," has died aged 68.

Her death was confirmed by the estate of the musical's creators, Rodgers & Hammerstein.

According to her son Ryan Urich, the actress was diagnosed with brain cancer four weeks ago and passed away on December 24, 2017.

“She was an actress, a ballerina and loved living her life to the fullest,” Urich said to Variety.

“She was not in any pain but, nearly four weeks after her diagnosis of terminal brain cancer, she had enough and took her last breath on this earth at 7:22 pm.”

The late actress played the mischievous third Von Trapp child Louisa in the 1965 film adaptation of "The Sound of Music."

Her death comes 14 months after the death of Charmian Car, who played Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter.

Born in 1949 in Toronto, Menzies-Urich made her acting debut at the age of 13 on the TV series "My Three Sons."

Her other acting credits included 'Dragnet 1967," "Logan’s Run" and "The Bob Newhart Show."

May her soul rest in peace.
