Obi Madubogwu: Gov Ambode gives filmmaker’s widow N1m

A cheque of N1m was presented by Desmond Elliott to the late Obi Madubogwu wife to support the immediate family of the late actor.

Lagos state Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, has supported the widow of late filmmaker, Obi Madubogwu with a sum of N1million.

The cheque, which was presented by Honourable Desmond Elliott to the late actor’s widow, Uju Ngozi Madubogwu on Thursday, November 30, 2017, was to support the immediate family of the late 'Conspiracy' actor.

Popular lawyer and film marketer, Nobert Ajaegbu was also present at the presentation that held at the Lagos State secretariat.

 

The widow, Uju Ngozi, expressed her thanks to the governor and prayed for God’s blessing for him.

On his part, Hon Desmond Elliot commended the governor’s magnanimity and passed the governor’s condolence message to Obi’s family.

Obi Madubogwu's dying days

Obi Madubogwu, aka King of Musanga had died on August 28, 2017 and was laid to rest on November 10, 2017 at his country home, Nkwere Ogidi, Anambra state.

Before his death, Obi battled diabetes for several years. The condition got chronic that he developed  ‘acute diabetics foot ulcers’ and Nigerians had to come to his rescue to help foot his medical bills.
