"The Wedding Party 2": Sequel records a N100m profit in first week

Mo Abudu who produced the movie made the announcement via her Twitter handle.

Widely anticipated movie, "The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai" has already hit a profit of N100 million profit in just a week after its premiere in cinemas.

This is following an earlier announcement by the movie producer Mo' Abudu who disclosed that it recorded a N20 million revenue on its opening day. She added a new statistics on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, via a Twitter post.

 

"We are riding high! All glory to God. Because when God says YES!! Nobody can say No!! We have now hit N100m in 5 days!!

"This is another industry record being broken! Incredible. Thank you so much Nigeria, thank you so much Africa! With God all things are truly possible."

 

The movie which had its world premiere on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, featured the likes of Banky W, Adesua Etomi, Ireti Doyle, Patience Ozokwor as some of its casts.

It is perceived as a film which has improved the image of the Nigerian movie industry based on its carefully crafted plot.
