Manchester United icon David Beckham is excited about the signing of Alexis Sanchez

David Beckham has heaped praise on Manchester United's latest signing Alexis Sanchez, after his move from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Beckham who is an Football Icon and Ex-Manchester United player talked about Sanchez in an interview with Twitter handle @JoePickover.

The former England skipper admitted he was surprised by the signing

He said "I still can't believe its happened to be honest, when he's been part of a club as big obviously as Arsenal, and then he moves a few hours up north to the biggest club it's astonishing to see."

However Beck's is excited about the move and wished Alexis well at his new club, He said "We all wish him luck, I'm a Manchester United fan so i am excited about having someone of his talent wear the Manchester United so its exciting times for us."

David Beckham played for Manchester United from 1992 till 2003, he made 265 appearances for the red devils and contributed 62 goals.

Sanchez made his debut for Manchester United in the FA Cup round of 32 fixture against Yeovil Town, and could make his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, January 31.
