According to reports, DJ Gee Connection died in his sleep on Tuesday, January 16, 2017, after an undisclosed illness which affected his leg.
Popular Jos DJ and one of the pioneering Disc Jockeys, Goodwin Gabriel popularly known as Gee Connection, is dead.
According to reports, DJ Gee Connection died in his sleep on Tuesday, January 16, 2017, after an undisclosed illness which affected his leg.
Until his demise, Gee held sway in Raypower 100.5FM, Jos, He was popular for holding down the radio shows: Grand Slam and The Power Drive with impressive skill.
Reactions to his passing has flooded social media, with his friends, family and colleagues sharing messages of mourning.
“What a big loss to the entertainment industry in Jos & beyond.... We live to remember you sir,” wrote Emirate Garba, a student from Jos. Emeka Ferdinand, another student describes him as a ‘fine DJ’, in another Facebook post.
Until his death, Gee was also a leading reggae enthusiast, playing influential roles in the organization of the Marley Day shows in Jos.
