Actress Lala Akindoju has shared some concerns regarding the high rate of drug use which she submitted has been getting encouragement from the Nigerian society.

Her comments on her Instagram though not clearly stated suggested a criticism of rapper Olamide's 'Science student' song, which appeared to be highlighting the practice of drug abusers who have been found to be mainly youths.

The actress who did not make a direct reference was concerned about how the idea of drug use has seen patronage in a song and dance. She expressed more astonishment while describing the encouraging attitude of the society concerning it.

Olamide's 'Science student' track is a jam that has received major attention based on its playful narrative style while commenting on the wide practice that has seen people indulge in the act of mixing intoxicants such as codeine and Tramadol for consumption.

Contrary to Akindoju's opinion, the rapper though might have taken a comical stance is perceived to have only brought attention to the menace which has shook the city of Abuja.

Earlier in the week,  a social media expert, Kolo Kadiri, lamented in a tweet about the rate of drug use in Nigeria while giving details relating to a drug raid that saw the Nigerian authorities seize billion worth of Tramadol at the Apapa port in Lagos.
