Nigerian Bobsled Women: Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga celebrated by Beats by Dre

The Nigerian Bobsled team has been recognised by international electronics company, Beats by Dre.

The Nigerian Bobsleigh team of Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga who qualified Nigeria to her first-ever appearance at the Winter Olympic games have joined forces with popular music electronics company Beats by Dre to make an Advert video.

In a video posted by Beats by Dre on You tube titled 'Above the Noise', the Nigerian team are seen preparing, and show a great deal of determination which saw team qualify for the Olympics.

 

The Bobsleigh team have enjoyed roller coaster year  which saw them get a popular interview on the Ellen show, but now need sponsors and support as they prepare or the Olympics.

The Nigerian Bobsleigh team pilot Adigun talks briefly on how wanting to create their legacy has fuelled their desire to qualify Nigeria for its first winter games.

She said "You can live in your own legacy, but you gotta start somewhere,"

"Our goal is to create a legacy where people will never be limited by the fear of the unknown."

 

The Nigerian bobsleigh team is aiming a podium finish at the 2018 winter Olympics despite being ranked low.

They will be encouraged by the fact that they made history as Africa's first bobsleigh team to a Winter Olympics.
