"So, I Married a Jazzman": Charles Novia announces title of new movie
After a hiatus from filmmaking, Charles Novia is working on a new Nollywood movie titled "So, I married a Jazzman."
"Alan Poza" director, Charles Novia, is squeezing time in 2018 to make a couple of Nollywood movies, including "So, I Married a Jazzman."
The director’s next film has been widely anticipated since he took a break from moviemaking in 2013 for other media investments.
Novia made the announcement in an Instagram post, which can be seen below, and provided a few more details about the upcoming film.
A filmmaker whose career spans over a decade, Novia recently criticized the state of the cinema in 2017, stating that the artistic quality and dramatic value of Nigerian movies were horrible.
He also mentioned how and why the Nigerian film industry has failed to produce a hit in the past three years.
A scriptwriter, producer, director and a critic, Novia is known for films such as "Missing Angel," "The Bridesmaid," "Caught in the Middle" and the 2013 "Alan Poza," which was his last notable work.
In October 2017, Charles Novia announced the launch his TV station Teen Africa Television.
Novia did not provide any information on when "So, I Married a Jazzman" is expected to be released or the cast, but he described it as the first in a slew of movies he will shoot in 2018.
