Mourinho blasts Pogba

Pogba has not started a game since he greeted Mourinho at the post match interview.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho blasted French midfielder Paul Pogba after his sides 2-1 win over rivals Liverpool.

Pogba who was in the stands for the Premier League game as he was injured, approached Mourinho after the game to congratulate him for the victory.

Mourinho was being interviewed by the BBC at the moment Pogba approached him to shake his hand.

Pogba winked at Mourinho before he shaked his hand and pulled him over and yelled “come on”, which the United manager did not reveal any anger towards.

However, a report by Daily Mail states that Mourinho was unhappy with the way Pogba greeted and pulled him over as the report terms it disrespectful.

The report states that after his post match interview Pogba was given a dressing down by his manager who was furious at his actions.

The French midfielder who has struggled for form this season, has not started a game for Manchester United since the incident, as he was named on the bench for the Champions League tie against Sevilla, and was an unused substitute in the FA Cup game against Brighton &Hove Albion.

Breakdown in Pogba, Mourinho relationship?

Pogba has since departed for international duty with France where he debuted a new hairstyle.

According to the report the relationship between Pogba and Mourinho has deteriorated, especially since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

Pogba reportedly had a lengthy discussion with Mourinho at his office, where it was reported that the pair discussed the midfielders best Poisition.

With Mourinho set to offload nine players in the summer transfer window, the possibility of Pogba staying at Old Trafford after the World Cup is not a topic of interest.

Mourinho and Pogba would be reunited after the international break when Manchester United take on Swansea City in a Premier League encounter on Saturday, March 31.
