Here is a roundup of matchday 12 fixtures in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Lobi Stars are on top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the matchday 12 fixtures played on Sunday, March 11.

There were nine matchday 12 fixtures were played, which involved seven home teams picking up maximum points, and two draws.

A total of 16 goals were scored, as the only game left is between Akwa United vs Nasarawa United will hold on Monday, March 12 as it was postponed due to their CAF Confederations Cup engagement.

One goal wins

Enugu Rangers defeated Enyimba by an early goal scored by Bright Silas in the 5th minute.

Go Round beat Sunshine Stars 1 - 0, goal scored in the 34th minute by Eta Okon Otop.

Lobi Stars recovered from last weeks defeat to beat Katsina United to move top of the table, courtesy a goal converted by David Tyavkase in the 69th minute.

Defending champions Plateau United lost by one goal away to Niger Tornadoes, Isah Hussain's goal in the 35th minute turned out to be the winner.

Draws

Ifeanyi Ubah United were held to a 1 - 1 draw at home by Abia Warriors, Patrick Ikeokwu gave the hosts the lead in the 5th minute before Abia equalised in the 67th minute through Obi Samson.

NPFL newcomers Kwara United also played out a 1- 1 draw at home with El Kanemi Warriors, Antonio Desonsa gave the away side the lead in the 36th minute, before Kwara equalised in the 54th minute through Anayor Ogbonna.

Big Wins

2017 league runners-up MFM FC picked up from their CAF Champions League victory against MC Algers with a 3 - 0 victory over Heartland of Owerri,

The Lagos based side took th lead in the 8th minute through a penalty converted by Stanley Okorom, they then had to wait until the 63rd minute of the second half before they scored their second goal through Uwaga Chuka, while Giscard Tchato made sure of the result in the 90th minute,

Nafiu Bala Kabuga scored a hatrick as Wikki Tourist beat Rivers United 3 - 0, his first a penalty in the 57th minute, his second in the 59th minute and his third in the 87th minute.

Kano Pillars lost 2 - 0 away to Yobe Desert Stars, an own goal in the 24th minute by Joel Djondang put the hosts ahead, before  Mohammed Abdulmalik sealed the results in the 81st minute.

 

The NPFL continues with matchday 13 on Sunday, March 18.
