Super Eagles: Nigeria launch 2018 World Cup jersey against Poland

Super Eagles stars are impressed with the design and quality of the jerseys.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have launched their 2018 FIFA World Cup jersey in the Friday, March 23 friendly against Poland.

Nigeria faced Poland in a friendly at the Stadion Miejski in Wrocław and used the new all-green jersey which was unveiled in February.

The all-dark-green jersey is the home kit recently unveiled by Nike and it comes with a pitch green jersey with white and black patterns as the away strip.

Nike, the kit sponsor of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) unveiled the jerseys at a ceremony in London, England on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Super Eagles players impressed

Apart from Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Mikel John Obi who were available at the unveiling, the rest of the Super Eagles players got to see the new kits when they arrived in camp for this friendly game against Poland.

Pulse Sports learnt that they were very impressed with the designs and quality of the strip and believe that it looked better when seen live than in pictures.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu described the kits as ‘sick’ when he was asked by Pulse Sports.

The kits were unveiled to wide acclaim and fans have been dying to get their hands on it.

Some fraudsters have however taken advantage of fans’ enthusiasms to start selling some fake jerseys.

The NFF in a tweet have however warned fans that the officials Nike jerseys are yet to be made available for sales describing the products circulating around ‘fake.

Our new 2018 kit by @Nike are not yet available on sale. As soon as they are, we will let you know,” the NFF said on Twitter.
